Location

The Historic Vail Ranch and Wolf Store Complex are located in Temecula, California on Wolf Store Road southeast of the intersection of Redhawk Parkway and Highway 79 South.  See interactive aerial view.

At the present time the ranch and store are not open for visitation except during the annual celebration.

In January of 1998, the owner of the property at that time, MDC-VAIL, agreed to restore the exteriors of the historic buildings with the condition that certain buildings be moved to condense the site to its current 4.5 acre size. The map below shows the locations of the buildings prior to those changes. The Riverside County Water District (RCWD) office (formerly a U. S. Meteorological Bureau weather station), part of the Caretaker's House, and the Machinery Barn/Office were relocated on the property. The adobe portion of the Caretaker's House and the Implement Barn were not preserved.
